Great book to read to your child with SM.

First time I've ever written a review and I've literally bought hundreds of things from Amazon over the years.
This book has been a great resource for us to read to our child with SM. The book can help a child identify with either gender (Lola and Leo) and we can see instant identification of the character with our child. I was really very nervous that our child would avoid any direct or in this case indirect reference to the child's SM but that fear was erased when the child took to the book quickly. Also it's a frequent request during bedtime story. I think the lessons in the book are age appropriate and something a child can grasp and internalize. As reference, our child is 4 when we started reading this to her.
Likewise, there is an activity book that is a companion to this - and as I mentioned prior: there is a "boy's" version called Leo's Words. The author has also kindly put in color printouts that you can download from her website as well for free (see the licensing restrictions on her site) - you can just search by author's name. We have been looking all over Amazon, etc to find age appropriate story books - as there seems to be many good parent/teacher/psychologist books. Can't say enough about the book.

I really like this book

I really like this book. It help me facilitated a therapy session with a 6yrs old client that has the same problem. She had a smile on her face while I was reading it to her. She is also doing much better. :)
