A wonderful read for anyone into spanking!

What can I say.
I have just finished reading Governess Forbes' excellent book, and can not stop glowing about it!
Every chapter, every page gives a wonderful, humorous, well thought out insight into all things spanking. From beginners to the experienced, this covers so many areas (no pun) of spanking and the joys (or mis-joys) it can bring. She has a gift of making it seem that She is speaking to you directly, that the words in the book are just subtitles for the hearing impaired. She covers so many topics, from how to get a loved one into spanking, information about local spanking groups and online sites to check out, to even a great chapter for the Professional Disciplinarian!
The chapters that went into detail about implements were fun to read, with great notes about proper care and some of the best online stores to visit. I think what truly steals this book is the example of spanking scenes. Not only are they fun, cheeky, and gets the juices flowing, but they also hon in on the special words, items, looks, etc that would enhance that scene and teaches the proper lingo, stance, atmosphere in helping create the best spanking scenes for those that can not get spanking out of the head!
Even with someone like Me, a Professional and lifelong spanko, I found the book to be insightful for anyone of all levels. It is inviting to the beginners and curious sort to get the ball rolling on spanking and wonderful tips on how to obtain it and yet is not off putting for those with more experience in life with spanking to be invited to learn new things, new tricks, new ways of enhancing time across the knees. I did fully enjoy that this was the first "BDSM/kink/fetish" book I have read that actually devoted an entire chapter to the Professional and in a light that did not make it seem the usual conception of Professional Discipline. It gave tips on how to contact and find real Professionals to how to start up if you are thinking of becoming a Pro. The stories provided in there are all ones Us "Pros" have experienced, and it's great to read someone else take on the matter in a fun way.
I take this book as a MUST for all spankos to read, enjoy, share, and learn from. Please, include this in your arsenal, you will not regret it and will always come back to it for something new every time.

Excellent and Informative

This book is informative, well written and full of information. While it is a handbook of Adult Spanking, it is also an exploration of adult spanking desires. If you are intrigued by spanking fetishism and eroticism, you will find this book invaluable. The author presents the motivations of this desire clearly, articulately and respectfully.
If you struggle with telling your partner about your spanking interest, this book will aid in the explanation. Likewise, if you have recently discovered you partner's interest in spanking, this book provides a fun, healthy context in which to begin exploration. Highly recommended to anyone who is intrigued by adult spanking play.

Fascinating & Thorough

This is a wonderfully informative book for anyone with any interest at all re this topic. The author obviously has a great deal of experience in this field and is not shy about sharing it! The language is tastefully teasing and easy to read without insulting the reader's intelligence. There is a well placed emphasis on the phenomenological psychology of the Top/Bottom relationship though the nitty gritty details of technique are certainly not neglected. People who are already into this scene will still be able to learn a lot from this book which covers all bases.
